Filipino cuisine is remarkable with its use of coconuts. In the Philippines, traditionally, fermented coconut water is solidified in jelly form called ‘Nata de Coco’, and is widely used to make puddings, desserts, etc.
This is a traditional Filipino dessert, called Kaong Candied Fruit in Syrup. It is made using palm sugar fruits (Kaong), which are transparent, chewy and white in appearance. A sort of candied fruit, this product is much like fruit jams.
